This month’s recipient of Postscripts Fresh Ideas recognition goes to the Peer Assistance & Leadership (PAL®) program, an award-winning, nationally-recognized program that targets social understanding, personal well-being, and community participation. PAL students learn to adapt to the power of peer pressure to influence others positively and, ultimately, make a difference in the lives of others.
Many schools across Texas have implemented the PAL program through a certified and trained PAL coordinator. Check out this inspiring Anti-Bullying Video put together by Burkburnett High School PALs. The video shows a full high school team effort inspiring students to “Be Brave” in the face of negative peer influences and bullying.
You can learn more about the PAL program and training opportunities at their website, www.palusa.org.
